Tsukiji area

A popular spot in the area is the Tsukiji Outer Market, which is home to a variety of stores that specialize in fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, meat, dry food, dried fish, seasonings, cooking utensils, and tableware. The area is bristling with about 460 shops, including rows of restaurants. The Inner Market, which was located in Tsukiji, has now been moved to Toyosu, where there is the Tokyo Metropolitan Wholesale Market Toyosu Market. In the Inner Market, there are restaurants and shops selling fresh fish, seafood, and fruit and vegetables that are available to general visitors. In the visitors’ passage of the fishery wholesale building, a fish (tuna) auction is available to see at certain times.
