Features
Boasting a history of over 360 years, this is one of the most representative landscape gardens of the Edo Period and formerly belonged to the family of the Tokugawa shoguns.
The garden is one of only a few in Japan to have received the dual designations of "Special Place of Scenic Beauty" and "Special Historic Site."
"Shioiri-no-ike," a pond with an intake of seawater, the "Kamoba" duck hunting site, and the "300-year Pine" are among the places of interest.
